Pedunculated lipofibroma is a rare form of nevus lipomatosus cutaneous superficialis (NLCS). The lesions are large, slow-growing, pedunculated tumors, characterized histologically by ectopic adipose tissue in the dermis. A 9-year-old girl presented with a solitary painless cerebriform pedunculated mass over her right arm. Histopathological examination of the excised mass revealed lipofibroma. The solitary type of NLCS, or pedunculated lipofibroma, occurs usually over 20 years of age and is found on the axilla, knee, ear, or skin of the scalp. The striking finding, that the hamartoma had grown constantly in early life, from a small nodule to a large mass, is rare in pediatric age group so it’s been presented.
