In order to study the exploration device to improve the resolution of DC resistivity exploration, we introduced the differential array and integral array, and gave the basic principle and apparent resistivity expression of these two arrays. Based on the forward and inversion theory in layered media, we have demonstrated the exploration resolution of these two arrays through several examples. The results show that, compared with other arrays, the differential array has better sensitivity and resolution to layered media. The integral array and dipole-dipole array have the same resolution to the underground, which is inferior to the differential array, and the integral array has a higher signal-to-noise ratio than the dipole-dipole array.
