This article analyses a numerical study of the radiation effects of an unsteady micropolar fluid through a porous medium with MHD boundary layer flow near the stagnation point towards a shrinking surface. The Roseland approximation for thermal radiation is considered in the modeling of heat transfer. The weighted residual method is applied to derive the numerical solution of non-linear equations. The effects of various involved parameters like Reynolds number, micro rotation parameter, Prandtl number, radiation parameter, and Eckert number on flow and heat transfer are discussed. Further, their effects on Nusselt number and skin friction are also investigated from the physical point of view.
