Global Land use land cover (LULC) maps play an important role in monitoring forest 1 dynamics and are a tool for any spatial planner. More and more institutes are interested in the 2 production of such maps, especially with high-resolution imagery freely available and the emergence 3 of new techniques. But they should be submitted to an accuracy assessment for accurate and better 4 use at the local scale. The two products that are the subject of this study are ESA Worldcover 2020 5 and ESRI Landcover 2020. These two products have been subjected to an accuracy assessment in 6 Talassemtane National Park(TNP). The results showed an overall accuracy of 58.06% for the ESA 7 product and 78.97% for the ESRI product. In addition, the Area-based accuracy was conducted to 8 adjust each class’s area and evaluate uncertainty. Finally, the spatial agreement between the two 9 products showed a result of 66,43 % at the local level in the TNP. This work will be used for research 10 studies in the Talassemtane National Park area, particularly for evaluating ecosystem services.
