Ethics approval and consent to participate
Ethical clearance was obtained from the institutional review board (IRB) of Mekelle university college of health sciences. Permission from Ayder Specialized Comprehensivehospital was obtained before the data collection started. Permission to enter the facility, to consult with employees, and to review registers and patient records were requested at the beginning of data collection. Data collectors were accompanied by an official letter from the MekelleUniversity, IRB and Ayder referral Hospital. Confidentiality was kept throughout the study.
