In reference [Optik, 191, 33–36(2019)], the theoretical research on the optical power of interference between two coherent Gaussian laser beams has been conducted, the theoretical results showed that the resultant electric field power of interference between two coherent Gaussian laser beams can be unequal to the entire electric field power of two independent laser beams. In the present study, we have conducted a experimental measurement for the resultant electric field power of interference between two coherent Gaussian laser beams. The experimental results agree well with the theoretical results. The reason of variation for the entire resultant electric field energy has been discussed according to the principle of conservation of energy.
