Headache disorder is spreading at a high rate all over the world. And it is not only painful, but also disabling. Headache disorders impose a significant burden on patients including significant personal suffering, deterioration in quality of life, financial cost, and damage to family life, social life and employment. This research aimed to know the level of headache disability among different population samples in Kuwait and its relationship to cognitive distortions. An Internet-based cross-sectional study was conducted where the participants from different population samples in Kuwait were targeted using total population sampling. 450 participants from Kuwaiti society were recruited, between September4 and October28, 2022. Participants completed two self-reported scales. The scales included The Henry Ford Hospital headache disability inventory (HDI):and The Cognitive Distortions Questionnaire (CD-Quest). The results reveal that there is low level of headache disability among participants. There were differences between participants with high headache disability and participants with low headache disability in the total score of CD-Quest and its dimensions. There was a positive correlation between headache disability and the total score of CD-Quest and most of its dimensions. The groups most suffering from headache disability were: high -income peoples, residents, participants aged 25-40 years, females, marrieds, patients with chronic diseases, participants with post-graduate qualifications.
