Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) has emerged as a compelling technology offering a wide range of applications. Even though it is predominantly used in high-power applications such as Electric Vehicle (EV) charging, nowadays it is opening up a realm of possibilities for low-power devices. The ability to transmit power wirelessly revolutionizes seamless integration and enhanced functionality to power electronic devices such as smartphones, wearables, Internet-of-Things (IoT) sensors, medical implants and smart-home devices. This paper presents a novel strategy for cuk converter based WPT system designed in MATLAB/Simulink environment specifically for low power applications. The control system for the proposed technique has been tuned using Grey-wolf optimization (GWO) owing to its efficient and powerful search capabilities. The simulation results with integration of the cuk converter exhibit robustness against variations in load conditions, improve power conversion efficiency, and overall system performance, making it a promising solution for low voltage wireless power transfer applications.
