Table 1 shows the means and standard deviations for the test measures. Independent T- tests revealed no significant differences between the experimental and wait-list control groups for any of the pre intervention study variables.
The first repeated measures ANOVA performed for reaction time and accuracy of attention bias index. For reaction time, the multivariate tests for the MNOVA yielded a marginally significant main effect for time (F1,56= 3.438, p= .069, ηp2=0.058), a non- significant main effect for group (F1,56= .248, p= .620, ηp2=0.004), and a non significant Group × Time interaction (F1, 56= 4.194, p= .045, ηp2=0.070). For error, a non- significant main effect for time (F1,56= 2.258, p = .139, ηp2=0.039), group (F1,56= 5.892, p= .018, ηp2=0.095), and respected interaction interaction (F1, 56= 7.912, p= .007, ηp2=0.124) were found.
The second test on the measures of trail making test, found a non- significant main effect for time (F1, 54= 0.783, p= .380, ηp2=0.014), and group (F1, 54= .208, p= .208, ηp2=0.029), but a significant respected interaction (F1,54= 4.755, p= .034, ηp2=0.081) for the part A. The part B- A analysis yielded a non- significant main effect for time (F1,54= 0.136, p= .714, ηp2=0.003) and group (F1, 54= 1.333, p= .253, ηp2=0.024), but a significant respected interaction (F1,54= 4.284, p= .043, ηp2=0.074).
The third test on Go/ No- Go test, found a non- significant main effect for time (F1,56= .230, p= .633, ηp2=0.004), group (F1,56= 1.437, p= .236, ηp2=0.025), and respected interaction (F1,56= .920, p = .343, ηp2=0.016) for reaction time of Go- stage. For no go stage, a non- significant main effect for time (F1,56= 1.067, p= .633, ηp2=0.004) was found but the effect for group (F1,56= 18.276, p = .001, ηp2=0.246), and the interaction of Group × Time (F1,56= 16.994, p= .001, ηp2=0.233) were significant.
The forth ANOVA analysis on accuracy, as the main grade of N- back task, yielded a significant main effect for time (F1,54 = 6.117, p= .017, ηp2=0.102), group (F1,54= 5.283, p= .025, ηp2=0.089), and respected interaction (F1,54= 19.303, p =.001, ηp2=0.263). For the time consuming for performing the task, a non- significant main effect for time (F1,54= 7.765, p= .007, ηp2=0.126), group (F1,54= .057, p= .812, ηp2=0.001), and respected interaction (F1,54= .280, p= .599, ηp2=0.005) were shown.
The final ANOVA performed for measures of attention registration test including OE, CE, and TT. For OE, a significant main effect for time (F1,55= 9.614, p = .003, ηp2=0.149), and group (F1,55= 7.652, p = .008, ηp2=0.122), but a non- significant interaction (F1, 55= 10.654, p= .002, ηp2=0.162) were found. For CE, the main effect for time (F1,55= 1.469, p= .231, ηp2=.026), group (F1,55= 3.626, p = .062, ηp2=.062), and their interaction (F1,55= .854, p = .360, ηp2=.015) were non- significant. For TT, a significant main effect for group (F1,55= 8.448, p= .005, ηp2=.133) but non- significant main effect for time (F1,55= .081, p= .777, ηp2=.001) and respected interaction (F1, 55= .059, p = .809, ηp2=.001) were revealed.
